Ultrafine Air Classifier CDC-HDS

In many applications, the requirement of selectivity in the sighting is rather moderate. The more important is a high product loading and high availability. Based on these considerations Continuum Technology developed the static classifier type CSC.

Due to the wide experience in the design of high-line cyclone, a classifier was developed, which can in a simple apparatus design (no moving parts) fine goods with a d97 of 15 to 100 microns classified. The selectivity is significantly higher than that of gravity air classifier. The sifter has in this CSC separation limit to a lower pressure loss.

Depending on the capacity of two variants were developed with one or two dip tubes. Due to the simple structure of the classifier SCS is the ideal device for simple classification tasks.

Wear protection

For the processing of very hard and abrasive products are wear-proof machine variants, such as a Vulcollane lining of the machine housing, a ceramic-tipped fine material and separating wheels available in ceramic or hard metal.

Fine Classifier CSC

Versions:

• Depending on the material loading with one or two dip pipes (double capacity)

• Pressure resistant up to 10 bar g

• Depending on the application, different materials: treated cast iron, steel, stainless steel, special steel, ceramics), surfaces or polished, wear protection.

Function

The task of the separated material is tangential with the view gas as in a cyclone separator. The dispersion of the product is effected by baffles in the upper part of the classifier, and by subsequently occurring cyclone vortex, which is divided by its strong shear forces aglomerierten particles apart.

About one in height continuously adjustable suction cone separation of the object mass flow is in fine and coarse material. Which grain size is taken by the cyclone vortex and transmitted with it, can be determined by the amount of air and the cone position and changed during operation.

The fine material leaves the separator via the two dip tubes. Coarse particles are carried along the classifier in the bottom of the separator.
